International Construction Barrister

Specialising in the resolution of disputes arising out of international construction and engineering projects, particularly under the FIDIC forms, practicing from Corbett & Co International Lawyers Ltd. Taner represents both international contractors (current and former clients include Emek Insaat Ltd, WTE Wassertechnik GmbH, H.F. Wiebe GmbH, Strukton International, ACC) and Employers (current and former clients include the Governments of Georgia and Serbia). In 2021, Legal 500 reported “Taner Dedezade, a trained barrister, is highly regarded for his advocacy work.”

Dispute Resolver

Taner is on the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators, a TECBAR accredited Dispute Board Member, a UK Adjudicators Dispute Board Member, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is listed as a GIAC Arbitrator in Georgia. Taner passionately believes in dispute prevention where possible, and is skilled in facilitating the resolution of disputes. Taner is available to act as as a standing DAB Member , with a view, ideally, to resolve the dispute before it flares up, or as an ad-hoc DAB Member. He is also available to sit as an Arbitrator, particularly, in relation to international construction disputes arising out of FIDIC contracts. Taner is currently acting as an ICC arbitrator in relation to an international construction dispute. Taner has also issued his awards in relation to 2 separate arbitrations having been appointed by the CIArb DAS.

World-Renowned Speaker

Taner is a FIDIC-certified trainer and has delivered numerous lectures and workshops all round the world. He delivers 2-day FIDIC workshops through Cornerstone Seminars and lectures on the King’s MSc in Construction law and arbitration. He was awarded the FIDIC trainer of the year award in 2020 (and was runner-up in 2019). In 2021, Taner was invited by FIDIC to deliver “Top-Up Training” on the FIDIC 2017 forms to 1) Members of the FIDIC President’s List; and 2) FIDIC Accredited Trainers. He has formulated a course for the FIDIC Academy comparing the 1999 and 2017 forms.
