For the first ten years of Taner’s career, he was a barrister in independent practice appearing before the courts and tribunals in England and Wales including the Court of Appeal. Taner has involved on international projects which have UK law governing the contract. For example, Taner was involved in advising a Swiss contractor on issues of risk allocation in a heavily amended FIDIC contract concerning a nuclear power project. His project in Saudi Arabia also had UK Law as the governing law. He is currently advising on a wind project which has UK law as its governing law. In July 2018 Taner delivered a Cornerstone seminar in Edinburgh on FIDIC Module 1: Contracts. |
