Acting for the Joint Venture Contractor in DAB proceedings concerning a sewerage network under a FIDIC 1999 Red Book. The claim involved allegations of defects made by the Employer and allegations of bad design asserted by the Contractor. We put the claim together, drafted all the pleadings and conducted advocacy at the DAB hearing that took place in June 2014. In 2017, this matter was referred to ICC arbitration and Taner was involved in drafting all the detailed pleadings with the assistance of 2 technical experts and a quantum expert. Taner was junior counsel at the hearing, led by Edward Corbett. The Tribunal issued a partial award and phase 2 commenced in 2020. A further online hearing took place in 2021 where Taner again acted as junior counsel to Edward Corbett.
