Taner has worked on various building projects as as set out below:
Representing an Employer in Gibraltar, as claimant, regarding a claim for over £20 million in relation to defects in the walls and roofs in over 600 flats. The contract was a JCT 81. The arbitration was conducted under the JCT rules with the seat of arbitration in Gibraltar. Proceedings were then commenced in the High Court of England against the parent company of the contractor under a parent company guarantee. The contract value was circa £19 million. | Gibraltar |
Advising the Contractor in relation to a commercial development in Egypt. The Contract was a FIDIC 4th contract. The claim was for approximately €80 million and was under the Cairo Arbitration Centre Rules. | Egypt |
